I hope you’re well and life is treating you kindly at the moment? It’s been quite a while since we were last in touch and I think I owe you an apology

I wrote a blog post earlier today talking about how people shouldn’t be so busy making new contacts that they neglect the ones they’ve already got, and suddenly I had an epiphany: You wouldn’t invite someone to a party at your house and then totally ignore them. How rude would that be?

When you see someone earn £230,000+ each year from his one-man business you should sit up and take note. There’s a great strategy in there somewhere.

When I tell you this was in 1987, fully 26 years ago, and he did it from a small office with no internet, no email, no social media and no mobile phone you might wonder if there are lessons to be learned? And as it’s such history is it still relevant?

Yes, there are lessons and Yes, it is relevant. Now more than ever.
